First Encounter
Ruff: "Ruff has been in here forever, ruff. I only know the view and sound in here, ruff."
Ruff was the first of Savan's magical creatures that the group interacted with. Miranda did not meet Buckle until her challenge. Spino, Lulu, Decal and Phewy also inhabited Aglis however only Ruff and Buckle directly interacted with Miranda. While she did not find Ruff harmful, she does threaten to mess him up. Ruff had never heard the term before and asked to be shown what 'mess up' was. He does comment that it should be some rough stuff. Ruff and Spino lead the group to Savan and their challenge to create the Psychedelic Bomb.
Challenge
Buckle: "Don’t be so hasty, uck."
Buckle is a magical creature created by Savan as a companion. It is one of many of these creatures who inhabited Savan's laboratory. His tag line is "uck". Buckle and the others were all fond of Rose and treated her as a special guest even though they had never met her before.
Buckle is the one who gave Miranda her test in order to create the Psychedelic Bomb. He found her hasty, annoying and short of temper. Miranda wasn't too fond of Buckle either. During the test Buckle tried to convince Miranda she had died however Miranda refused to believe it and explained she cannot die yet because there are things she needed to do. This caused both Miranda and Buckle to be 'revived', even though they had never really died.
Death
Buckle: "Miranda, you are still annoying, uck. Are other people safe, uck?
After Moot is destroyed and Savan sacrificed his life to save the group, the magical creatures began to die as they cannot live without Savan. Miranda came across Buckle and she was upset that he was going to die. She told Miranda that she was still annoying. Miranda tried to reason with him and asked if a Dragoon's power would save him. Even though the two had just met, Miranda was charmed by the magical creature and wished for him to live. However Buckle simply told her to be quiet and goodnight. He does promise that they can meet again soon.
